African Savanna through the eyes of Dmitry Fridman
On Thursday July 26th at the gallery "Galereya na Solyanke" the exhibition of photos dedicated to African flora and fauna "Savanna" by Dmitry Fridman was opened. Most of the photographs exhibited at the gallery were made within 2004-2006 in the National Parks of Tanzania: Manyara, Serengeti and Conservation area of Ngorongoro.
"I wanted to show all the beauty of these countries and all the variety of their wild animals. These photos can be also considered my return to childhood when I was looking forward to every series of the program "V mire givotnyh" (In the world of animals) and was enchanted by the life of African savanna", - the author says.
It's obvious that Dmitry has managed to execute his plans. His photos are very realistic and each picture has its own history. After looking at the photo for some minutes you begin feeling the light wind of savanna, warm glaring sun and your pulse beating in the rhythm of African drums. If you visit this exhibition you 'll not be able to be indifferent any more and you'll certainly decide to go to Africa, this mysterious and such a different continent.
The exposition will be open till the 25 th of August

Chief Justice Hon. Barnabas A. Samatta Pays Official Visit to the Russian Federation
Chief Justice Hon. Barnabas A. Samatta paid an official visit to the Russian Federation from 16 to 20th June, 2007. Hon. Samatta was invited by his Russian Counterpart, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Mr. Vyacheslav Lebedev.
Hon. Samatta held discussions with Mr. Lebedev on cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the High Court of the United Republic of Tanzania. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania in the Russian Federation, H.E. Patrick S. Chokala.
During the discussions Hon. Samatta, who was impressed by the electronic Technology in the Russian Court system, requested the Supreme court of the Russian Federation to assist the High Court of Tanzania in improving electronic technology in the Tanzania's Court system.
Mr. Lebedev gave a draft agreement of Cooperation between the two sides for consideration by the Tanzania part, which would be signed at a later date.
During this visit Hon. Samatta also had the opportunity to meet with the First Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Alexander Savenkov and the Acting General Prosecutor Mr. Alexander Buksman.
On 20th June, 2007, the last day of the visit, Hon. Samatta paid a visit to the Embassy of Tanzania and held discussions with H.E. Ambassador Patrick S. Chokala and members of staff of the Mission.
Hon. Samatta was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Merci Gladis Samatta. His delegation also included Senior Deputy Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Mr. Ferdinand Wambali.
Last year, Mr. Lebedev visited Tanzania and made a courtesy call on Hon. Samatta at the High Court in Dar es Salaam.
